The Queen’s Entrepreneurs’ Competition is Canada’s most prestigious undergraduate startup competition.
We have been trailblazing and innovating in Canada and around the world for
36 years.
Who We Are
Composed solely of undergraduate students, our team is dedicated to organizing a competition where bright undergraduates compete for prizes that can transform their businesses. Competitors will also meet fellow young entrepreneurs from around the world, as well as learn from professionals, investors, and each other. Each year we receive numerous business plan submissions from around the globe, and the top 15 teams are selected to pitch their business plans to a panel of Canadian business leaders, competing for over $150,000 in prizes for the top pitching entrepreneurs. This year’s competition will be in Toronto from January 11th-14th, 2024.

The Queen’s Entrepreneurs’ Competition (QEC) has stood for 35 years as an opportunity for entrepreneurs of the day to acquire the sources they need to jump start the future.
With ventures competing from across geographies, industries, academic faculties,and technologies, the QEC has always brought a diverse set of competitors looking to make an impact. The QEC is an event that celebrates innovation, entrepreneurship, and the idealism of reaching one’s dream to create a true impact. With the QEC’s long-standing competition format being highly effective in previous years, the competition is now poised to grow even larger and open its doors to even more budding entrepreneurs to compete from around the world.
